Tested to perform
Seeing the drop test videos of Outback Motortek got my interest peaked, because I’ve never come across other brands test their crash protection like OM did. I aim for the highest quality in my own work, but I also demand it from the brands I ride with. Crash protection was always on my bike, but its importance has grown as I ride more off road terrain than before. And that’s one of the main reasons I switched from OEM to the Outback Motortek crash protection and pannier racks. Thicker and sturdier materials that can handle more impact and just an overall more solid look and feel.
Crash Bars Combo
Knowing that damage to my fairings, tank, suspension, headlights, aux lights, turn signals and radiator will be considerably minimized with the Crash Bars Combo, gives me peace of mind while out exploring new roads and trails.
Skid Plate
During my trips it happened numerous times that big rocks aggressively hit my skid plate. Besides crash bars this is the most important piece of protection to add to any adventure bike in my opinion. This Skid Plate is fully mounted on the DX’s frame thanks to a specially designed bracket to support both the skid plate and the crash bars. Besides its cool looks, it offers maximum protection.
Pannier Racks
Headlight Guards
A very expensive headlight to replace and next to the offered protection of flying rocks and debris while offroading it gives the bike that gnarly look even more. I love this Headlight Guard!
Water Pump Guard
A small item with big responsibilities: the Water Pump Guard. Designed to protect this part of your bike from being damaged by any tip overs or falls. To install this product you either need the crash bars or skid plate too.
Protection parts for adventure motorcycles
Only one way to find out how it holds when I drop the bike again on trickier terrain as I’m sure that will happen on my next adventures. Above are the parts I have currently fitted on my Ducati DesertX, but Outback Motortek makes gear for the following brands:
Aprilia – BMW – Ducati – GasGas – Honda – Husqvarna – Kawasaki – KTM – Suzuki – Triumph – Yamaha
